That would be right, as I remember it being a BL dealership (still Dutton Forshaw’s I think) before it was the Jag one, so they probably took over from Murrays.
That used to be Dutton Forshaw’s Jaguar dealership before they moved to Preston Farm (or motor city…..) The tower in the background is the old YMCA.
If memory serves the boarded up building was the showroom and workshops for the Stockton branch of Murray and Charleton who were a leading north east BMC/British Leyland dealership and who claimed to be “the oldest Austin distributors in the world”…
