  1. May Woolmore (nee Brown), did you attend Bailey Street School before going to Oxbridge? There was a May Brown at Bailey Street when I was there before going to Richard Hind, a lot of the girls in the photo went to Richard Hind and were in the same class as me. I was Dorothy Wright then now Butler.

    • Hi, I’m Irene (Metcalfe as was). Have just come across this site and couldn’t believe it when I saw your name. I remember going to your house for tea once and still have a postcard you sent me from Scotland signed Wendy McHowell.
      These pics bring back lots of memories.

    • I think we are distantly related! My gran was Vera Laverick later Taylor and then Griffin. She and sisters lived in Oxbridge area. Do you remember her?

      • Hello Janice I have just seen your comment on the photo of Miss Pickles Class. You do have an excellent memory for all the names and I remembered them as I was reading through. I have no idea why Pat Hanson and myself were not on the photo I can only assume we were ill.

  6. Front row 2nd from right of Miss Pickles, it’s me May Brown (as was then) I recognise a lot of the little faces on that picture, even Irene Metcalf.
    Lovely to see it after all this time
