I can remember some great nights-out on this ‘ahead-of-it’s-time’ entertainment facility and I still see Stewart Greenidge in and around Yarm. But exactly what date was this in operation from and until when? I must be getting to that age where I just cannot remember the finer details!
Memory can’t be that bad, if I can remember that the last time I visited the Bonaventure was with a girl called Vivienne Lightfoot from Billingham. I think she worked at the branch of Bradford and BIngley on the High St / Silver St corner (now Santander) and shortly afterward, went off ‘darn sarf’ to be a air-hostess (cabin -crew!) down at Luton Airport. Happy Days!
Who owned this boat and was it moored near the flyover bridge?
My friends Mam had one in the 1980s I’m trying to find some pictures for her granddaughter
I drank there myself on a few occasions usually till daylight going home
Any information would be great
Hi there I worked on the Boat. I have a picture of myself on it
Great times by ALL that partied and ate there!
I remember being part of a party that canoed 20 miles down the River Tees and ending at this ship for refreshments. This would have been around 1978.

You and me both Chris, I remember the boat being there but haven’t a clue when it was!
Remember going on that for a drink and a dance if I remember the DJ was a scouser called “THE BARON “
Ha. What a memory. Two R’s tho. The Barron. Here I am. I loved that boat and the North East.
