Could it be Mill Lane School?
I think it could be Newtown girls school yard with the girls toilets behind the wall, then the back street, then the back of the houses in Londonderry road, the infants yard was at the Durham road entrance, and the boys yard at the browns bridge entrance I attended the boys school at the age 11 till I left at the age 14 in 1934
Harry, you could be right here. I went to Newtown in the 50s and this photo looks remarkably similar to the boy’s toilets in about 1954/5, if so then not much changed in 20 years.
