  1. I seem to remember we used to call these the twenty one arches………word was “there used to be twenty two but one was swallowed up by the earth!”

  2. Popular spot, I also fished under the arches for minnow about 45 years ago.

We used to use bottles with a little bread in them and the fish would swim in but couldn’t get back out past the bread.

Used to live in Roseworth so had a bit of a walk but it was always worth it

    Really happy days

    • Barry Flounders, did you live on the main road at the top of Raglan Close? If yes, I kicked around with your brother Bryn. I lived at 11 Raglan Close from 1953 (6 years old) until 1967. I agree with you, growing up in Roseworth was a very happy time. I now live in Canada.

  3. I used to fish for tiddlers in the stream under it about sixty years ago. Happy days! Incidentally, is this John Corney the same one that lived in Oxbridge Avenue about fifty years ago?
