The South Durham Hunt met in the grounds of Wynyard Hall for the first time in 26 years. The Marquis of Londonderry (centre) is chatting to the huntsman Jack Wood. My father, Eric Wilson the Master is on the right.

The Hunt reconvened on Wolviston Green. As young ones we tried to follow it but soon were outrun. On returning to the Green stray hunting dogs were met. Like us it was too much for them.
They also met at Norton Green then made their way up Station Road and across the fields after Calfallow Lane. We would follow them but after a while would see them in the distance on their way to Wynyard.
The late Malcolm and Dorothy Arthur of Coatham Mundeville were quite involved with the Hunt
