  1. Looks like Somerset and Mulgrave Rd in the main pic… I lived in Mulgrave Rd till I married in 1989. The other pics however don’t ring a bell with me.

  2. Deffo not Roseworth-slate roofs which are older. Similar to Bluehall so might be Wolfe Road or similar now demolished. My guess is Eastbourne/Midbourne, quite possibly Azalia, Rowan, etc. but may now also be demolished and redeveloped…

  3. Bob Irwin is correct this is Somerset Road Blue Hall now known as Norton Grange and the road going up the bank is Mulgrave Road witch is now called Trefoil Court which is opposite the community centre on Somerset Road and the road off Mulgrave was Hertford.

  4. On reflection after taking another look at these photos, this is not Somerset Road, but it is that area because the houses were very distinct in that area. I think it might be the road leading to Somerset Road. My Nanna and Grandad lived in a house similar to this one. I used to go to Ragworth a lot and those houses were different. I grew up on Roseworth and this definitely is not Roseworth.

    • This is Somerset Road with the bank up to Mulgrave Road. Then the house in the background running parallel to Somerset Road is in Hertford Road.

  5. This isn’t Roseworth.  We moved into a brand new house on Ragpath Lane when I was 1.  I left when I was 21.  Roseworth houses are a different design and all connected by brick walls and a garden gate going from house to house.  This looks older than Roseworth.

  6. Fairly sure that its Eastbourne. Used to deliver papers round there in the 60’s. It was a bit scary then

  7. Looks like Blue Hall Estate Norton where my gran lived in the 1950/60’s. Roseworth houses had white over the brickwork.

  8. Does not look like Roseworth, I don’t remember anywhere with little fencing around and the houses

  9. Looks like Eastbourne or Primrose Hill prior to the new road being built from the Durham Rd
    roundabout to Norton Rd.

      • Hi Terry, long time no see.
If it’s Dundas Street, then the bank on the left must be the bottom of Hamilton Road. It’s a possibility I suppose !

        • Hamilton Road at the junction with Dundas St. had terrace houses, if it is Dundas St. they will be either Rowan or Azalia Road.
