  1. My Mother worked in upholstery mid 50s until the late 60s. I loved going to see the bespoke soft furnishings her and the other upholstery staff made. I didn’t inherit her talent though.

  3. As a child in the early sixties I managed to pull a shelf with lot’s of perfume bottles onto the floor. A sharp exit was made by all.

  4. I worked as a Saturday girl here in about 1964, firstly in the deli learning how to cut cheese and also in the cake dept which belonged to Spark’s. The mezzanine floor was were the records were sold. We used to have to clock on too.
