Fond memories of a great place that eventually went down hill due to the formation of Teesside and the dissolution of ICI.
I think that photo was taken from my flat
I thought at first the photo was taken from the balcony near the Li Wah Chinese restaurant but that would be on the same level as the shops on the right which it isn’t? The photo must have been taken from the roof top car park below Queensway and Kingsway House and which over looks the town centre. A great shame that it is now just a sea of grey paving slabs!
I thought this was taken from my flat, but looking closer I can see my flat so it was taken somewhere near Chinese. Loved living there but on my recent from Cheshire, very sad.
