Taken around the end of the First World War. My grandfather George Bradley Brookes is on the front row, 2nd from the right. The goalkeeper was Police Constable Peart.
This is a wonderful photo – I think two of my relatives could be on this photo, Alf Howells and his father in law Jack Wilson. I would love to discover more details of the club from this era if there is a historian or enthusiast out there?
Constable Peart became a Detective in Stockton.I can remember him he always wore leggings. I think the player, first right on the front row would be Marky Pass, later trainer C.1950,s. He was an amateur international. Lived in Eldson St.opposite Victoria Ground.
