  1. I attended GGS in the mid fifties. I do not recognize the boundary wall, or the uniforms. As previously stated the GGS was not completed until the early fifties

    • Stockton Sec moved to Grangefield in Sept. 1950. I left Stockton Sec in Nelson Terrace in July 1950. I think the photo date is wrong and it is in fact Grangefield Grammar.

      • I think you are 100 % correct Gran, not that you can hear me as you passed away about three years ago after a long battle with a rare form of blood disease. you are remembered as a regular contributor to this site as well as a high scoring centre forward playing in the Northern League for Billingham Synthonia and Whitby Town. I remember attending the Nelson Terrace site as a Night School venue for the Stockton Technical College 1951.

        • Hi Ben, could you possibly let me know which form of rare blood disease did Gran battle with? Thr reason I am asking is I was born in Haverton Hill and I also have a rare blood disease, I’ve always thought it was related to living so close to the I.C.I. Many thanks, Maureen

  2. Looks to be my late Aunt, Lily Davies (Nee Mallam) immediately to the right of the teacher. She travelled from Sedgefield every day to Grangefield.
