A Pictorial History of Stockton-on-Tees
I went to Newham Grange School with Len Nicholson, the smiler in the middle of this group. We both worked at Head Wrightsons and are still in touch with each other at 75. We both love football. Len supports Stockton Town whilst I have a season ticket at Charlton Athletic in south-east London. I also noticed that Len’s pint is nearly empty.
Sorry to disappoint you Roy but that is not my glass, we were just asked to sit there by the works magazine photographer. Kenny Close a Thornaby lad was a very good twenty-five mile road time trial cyclist in his day.
