My uncle Ray and aunt Irene lived in Elsdon Street, Oxbridge adjacent to the old Victoria ground, Stockton F.C.s home ground.
I have uncle Rays, gold winners medal in my possession (they had no children).
The medal, the size of a new £2 coin has the Stockton Castle and Anchor Emblem and the words,
Stockton and Thornaby Nursing Cup, on the surround.
The reverse is inscribed,1928, -Stockton Res- J.R.Dowd
Each player will have received a medal.

Sorry, I can not name any other players. Uncle Ray spoke of playing alongside Marky Pass, who he rated as a top player?
