A game of tennis in progress at the residence of J.W Page JP. The house was built in 1857 for Robert Page and was enlarged in the late 19th century. We believe the building has since become part of what is now Red House School, Norton.

Yes, Red House School, High Row, Norton Green, you can see that most of the building features are still there today:

But had it had stopped being a private residence by the time this photo was taken? There are at least two courts in the photo, and them being in a relatively small garden means they are really close to the house. The schools’ website states: “Red House was established in 1929 by a group of parents to provide the very best education possible for their children.”
Can’t see any history regarding the house or the school online?
