I lived close to the roundabout where that picture was taken. I lived in March House Avenue from 1954 until I emigrated to Australia in 1965 as a qualified Naval Architect. I had a Dodds and a Millburn in my class at St John’s Billingham from 1938 until 1944, and I have written the history of the infamous ‘Border Reivers’ that tells of the close association of the Dodds, Milburn and Robson families that rode together in their reiving exploits. It’s a very colourful tale that all Dodds and Millburn’s should know. I will send it to anyone interested.
