Mayoral Scrapbook 1960s (Part Two)

I recently came across a scrapbook my nana and grandad Ernest (Ernie) and Margaret (Madge) Temple had/were given from the 1960s when he was the Mayor of Stockton. The scrapbook contains lots of photos from dinners, charity events, meet and greets as well as invites. Here is part two…

Photographs and details courtesy of Michael Temple.

  1. Family photo’s are worth preserving, these are nice but I wonder does this website now only show content submitted by certain people or can anybody send in photo’s from the family album and have them posted on here?

      • Hi, just wondered if a photo existed in Mr Temple’s photo album taken at Tilery Road boys school in 1963, the mayor Mr Temple presented me and my 3 mates with a certificate for trying to save a child’s life, I still have that old certificate, just wondered if local newspapers were there to take photos.

        • Hi Derek,

We don’t have access to all of the photos within Mr Temple’s photo album, just the ones on this post and the Mayoral Scrapbook 1960s (Part One) post. Stockton Reference Library does have some local newspapers on microfilm which may be of some help. These are organised by date and are not indexed.

Kind regards, Hannah (Stockton Reference Library)

          • Thanks hannah, i think i might have posted here on site the now old certificate mayor temple presented to me in 1963.
            Thank you.
            Derek
