The Heavisides Almanack might have been 1906, but the image is earlier c1867.
Most of these buildings have been replaced since then, with only maybe the upper bay window of the Stockton Hotel matching up with what exists today at The George (No. 102).

The entrance to Claxton Yard, which was just about where the long entrance back to The Cinema/Essoldo/Rank Bingo Hall was, more recently Franks Flooring and Veterans at Ease Charity shop.
