my brother worked in skinner street for a plumbing firm called cowans.
Could anyone give me any additional information regarding this store and the owners. My father was a Holmes and his father was a shop owner but I have no information of his family before him as my father and grandmother are both deceased. My grandfather owned a fruit shop on Norton Road until he died. As far as I can recall his family owned shops in Stockton too. The name Cowan written on the shop window is part of the Holmes family, could be just coincidence but it would be nice to find out please email me at tracymillion@hotmail.com
