My Nana used to live in Woodland Street, and I used to go to North’s for their pork pies which were absolutely superb, red hot and full of gravy. The closest to their pies is now Morrells in Hartlepool, hot fresh and full of gravy.
Don’t say you are little mikey, I think your Dad married a girl called Margaret – she had a beautiful sister called Anne – she married a handsome guy and I think they live in Billingham.
I am the great grandson of Robert North owner and Master Baker. I am researching my family tree and would love to hear of any more memories people have of the family bakery.
Lovely pic. Where on Dennison Street was this? Can’t orientate myself

I think I may be related. I was Caroline North, my father was Stanley North
Rather than face school dinners, a bag of chips and half a dozen bread buns from North”s mmmm…
