My Mother Elizabeth Douglas worked in the kitchen at Red House school around 1950-1960 and I used to visit her there when I was young. I met Mr and Mrs Raine and remember when their daughter Jane was married. I loved going up into the attic where they had lots of clothes in which to dress up in.

I attended Red House from 1945 until 1951. I then went on to Cleveland (now Teeside High)
Mr Raine was then Headmaster, Miss Harrison taught in transition, Mr Moody, Miss Connor who taught french. Pupils in my class were Patricia Jackson, Carol Newbould, Jane Linton, Sarah Smith, Peter Curry, Patricia Cuthbert and Mary Barclay, my particular friend. This was the best and happiest school I ever attended.
