Another loco from the 1925 procession. It is North Eastern Railway 2-4-0 No 1463, a Tennant loco. It was designed under the direction of henry Tennant, then General Manager of the NER, but not a mechanical engineer. A committee was responsible for the mechanical design. These locos were East Coast express locos in their day, but ended their days on the demanding cross country Stainmore route between Darlington and Kirby Stephen
