This to me comes alive :- Scream of the Engines , smell of the kerosene as each passes, the squeal of brakes as each keeps it distance , the shimmer behind each aircraft , canopies half open as they pass, to keep cool, at the same time stop dust from the lead aircraft The sound fading as they approach the end of runway followed by the thunderous roar of a full Squadron take-off.which vibrates the air around
