  1. Hi Paul I am pleased you remember the football team. After the Roseworth game we played Frederick Nattrass Juniors and won 1-0. We actually lost the league by 1 point to Hardwick Juniors. We had 3 members of the Stockton Junior side yourself, Jimmy Pearce and Paul Jenkins.

  2. You were right, we got beat 5 – 1 but off Roseworth School not Redbrook, Jimmy P actually scored the first goal, we were leading the league by 1 point, we had drawn with English Martyrs and Hardwick had lost to us, if I remember right most of the school was allowed out to watch the game against Hardwick, great times, excellant teachers, very sad the number of people who are no longer with us, specially Kev C and Paul l

  3. Hehe, I grew up with this lot, Peter Mansell was born in the same street as me, drinks in the sane club as me but cannot remember haa ask peter I am in the Fairfield Sports and Social Club most Sunday”s. Nigel Swainston, well he was in the same home as my Aunty and Uncle, Christine and John, she alway”s asks about you. Lester Piggott, it is true we all lived in the same street, proof is brothers, Barry and Ian hehe, oh and Jimmy Pearce, he was some player he I believe had trials with Hartlepool, but hey we were all in the same class, lets not forget Niel Hamilton, hehe Rod Stewarts look alike, we had some good times right Peter, see if you can spot me next time in the club, and don”t ask Simo or Micky hahaha

  4. Brilliant picture Pete, havn”t seen it for many years but I still remember it as though it was yesterday! The Broady brothers was Dave and Terry, and the ginger freckled kid on the end was Micky Ascot (Acko no Wacker, Jordo). Happy Days!

  5. I recall this team well, I still see Peter Mansall occasionally. I believe in this season,Harrowgate probably was the strongest side in the league, and would have won the Campionship, but for a shock result in the last game of the season against what had been a poor Redbrook team…we were thrashed 5-1(I think).

  6. I was amazed to come across this picture which includes my brother Kevin Collins (sadly died Feb 2004) he always enjoyed kicking a ball around and was a life long Middlesbrough fan. I was at the school but 2 years above this footie team. Happy days – happy school.

  7. Hi Peter – thanks for the names they were a great bunch of lads. I seem to remember that some of them played for the Stockton under 11 team in the cup.I recall us being thrashed by a team from Wallsend or Jarrow. The consolation was that Paul Jenkins if I remember rightly scored the Stockton goal in a 4-1 defeat. Sorry Robert this is the only picture.

  8. HI DEREK, ANOTHER LITTLE GEM UNEARTHED. THESE LADS WERE TWO YEARS ABOVE ME, BUT I CAN REMEMBER MOST OF THEM. BACK ROW: L TO R NIGEL SWAINSTON [WHO IS STILL A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE] JIMMY PEARCE, ALAN ALLISON, NEIL FOSTER, LESTER PIGGOT. FRONT ROW: PAUL JENKINS, PETER MANSELL, THE BROADBENT BROTHERS, PAUL LITTLER [THE LATE] KEV COLLINS, WACKER[WHOSE NANE I CANNOT REMEMBER)
