Seeing this photo of Alliance Street brings back memories of the house were my Mother and Father lived for a number of year”s lived on the same side of the Street as shown on the photo and the street map on the location site. They moved to Alliance before the modernisation to the Street took place from another part of Parkfield, Camden Street. Mam and Dad were the first in Alliance to have a bathroom built into the yard at the back. Very posh at the time. Later some people had the bath room built with a room added above which I suppose could be turned into a bathroom and have a new kitchen extention below. The house was 76 Alliance street and was taken as an example for the rest of the street when they started to modernise them.
This looks just like my Grandmas front room. Even the dog looks familiar
