  1. There used to be a place in Fagg Street, Stockton, called The Goddards Mission, as youngsters we used to go to The Band of Hope there. It was taken over by The Nazarenes, in the early sixties. Anyone remember this ?

    • Yes spent many a happy hour there. I helped them move to Hartington Road, can’t remember the year it moved. I think it was in the early 1970’s.

  2. My family used to lived in 3 Park Road which is to the right of picture, the side entrance to the hall was near opposite our front door. There used to be lawns on the photo above which where well looked after and at every given oppotunity we would play football or chase on it, I suppose it was our own personal park. I can’t think of the lady’s name who used to run the church but you knew she was about because her Ford Escort would be parked outside the hall, it was the only car she ever drove. Mr and Mrs Rigg’s shop was behind the church and there was a big guest house across the road on the corner of Yarm and Park Road. If anyone used to live, or knew someone, in Park Road between 1966 to 1983 please comment.

  3. I was married at this church in December 1981, back then it was The United Reformed Church. I attended this church (Brownies, Sunday School) for many years when it was The Congregational then it became The United Reformed. I got married and moved to Australia. Very happy memories, Harvest Festival, Nativity plays etc.
