  1. This team were still from the Urlay Nook works but we played at Newham Grange Park (Mile House)and, as I stated earlier, were reformed in the early 70s. The green strip worn on this photo was donated by the firm’s Halifax company.

  2. Did this team have any connection with the Urlay Nook team in the sixties who played at the ground at the works on the Urlay Nook Road?

  3. TOMMY GILBERT IN THIS TEAM PLAYED OUTSIDE RIGHT FOR STOCKTON FC IN THE 1961-62 SEASON, WITH RONNIE LAVERICK ON THE LEFT WING. OTHERS IN THE TEAM WERE BILL DITCHBURN IN GOAL, JACK DURNALL & EDDIE NOBBS FULL-BACKS, TERRY GARBUTT, RAY BASHAM & JOHN RABY THE HALF-BACK LINE, TREVOR COCKERILL WAS INSIDE-FORWARD, THE REST VARIED FROM WEEK TO WEEK.

  4. My eldest brother Keith Overton was secretary, I was the manager & younger brother also played. Back row, Charlie Patterson, Keith Daley, Norman Bellerby, Steve Strachan, Mally Stirling, ?, Terry Cooper. Front row Ronny Leaming Tommy Gilbert, Tommy Mustard, Eric Jones, Alan ? , ?. My apologies to the three lads who’s names slip my memory.
