    • Alan, I attended Ragworth School, 1955-61. I recall Robert Salmon, Carol White, Susan Allison, and the best-looking lass, Kathy Wathen (or Wathey), who lived in the Dumbarton Avenue area of Ragworth. John Ayres lived in the same area, and a lad whose surname was Delderfield. I do recall your name. Did you live in the old Ragworth area? The Carrs lived in Dunoon Close, where our family lived. Check out the photo on this website. Search for “Dunoon Close” – there’s a photo of the many kids living in Dunoon Close in August 1961. Most would have attended Ragworth School.

Sadly Ronnie Carr died in 1986, a tough time. He left a lovely wife and 3 gorgeous daughters. They are now grown up and have children of their own. One of them is called Ronnie, he was the best.
I am now Carol Jackson nee Carr and remember you and Ron were good friends, happy days.

  3. Barbara Gales married name was Lomas, her brother Peter played football for Wolviston, Norton C.C.T. and Head Wrightsons in the sixties before emigrating to Canada.

  4. Barbara Gales is my Cousin, haven’t seen or heard from her for 50 years – does anybody know if she is still around? She had two bothers, Peter and Barry, who I think emigrated but can’t be sure. If anybody has information on any of them I would be pleased to hear it. I have lived in Lincoln City most of my married life.

    • Barbara’s youngest brother Barrie has passed away in the last couple of years, Peter who is in Canada lost his wife Christine just over a year ago.
