  1. I was a pupil at Richard Hind School from 1973 to 78. I remember the house and the caretaker whom I recall was called Mr Dryden (apologies if I’ve got the name spelling wrong). I remember him being a portly gentleman with a flat cap and moustache but very friendly. I remember it was announced by our headmaster Mr Caswell he had died shortly after retiring. We were all quite upset I remember.

  2. I went to Richard Hind from 1966 to 1970. The metalwork class was next to the house on the right looking at the picture. We had PE sometimes in St Peters Hall about 100 yards down in Dennison Street.

  3. A lovely house I remember. I went to Richard Hind in 1969-76. It is hard to picture the school being there in this new photo. Was this taken in Richardson Road?

      • The house was on the corner of Dennison Street and Richardson Road. I lived in the house opposite just across the common which is now a small car park. My parents bought the house in 1936 and lived there until my mother died in 2000.
