  1. I bought two steaks here after a rather good market day session on the beer. They were so large, I had to stagger back to Asda for a bigger frying pan.

  2. Before it was Stubbs Butchers, it was owned by Mr Goodwill of Grangefield Road. I remember the floors being covered with sawdust and occasionally blood dripping from the animal carcasses hanging in the shop. Refrigerators what refrigerators?

  3. My father was a good friend of Mr Stubbs the butcher. I became a friend also and know most of his family. That’s what we are missing these days, friendly faces and respect for everybody. Life is far too fast these days.
