It has been standing empty since it’s closure until a few weeks ago. However, there are workmen inside it at present, but as yet, I don’t know what it is going to be. Various rumours are going round, and the latest one is that it is going to become a ‘wine bar’ – we shall see!
It is soon to be offices for a local company.
This building used to be a general dealers Carlins.
I only remember it as Hawes. Did the name Carling take over from Hawes?
