This photograph was taken in August 1985 and shows the route of the future 1825 Way. As you can see, it is still occupied by overgrown railway sidings.
These lines are what was left of the arrival/departure (inover on left and outover on right) lines at at Stockton Goods Yard, the Chargeman’s cabin was just on the left near the signal. The South Stockton pilot would, like I stated before on this site would arrive via Bowesfield signalbox pushing its load towards the yard, the loco would be at the right end to start the daily shunting for all the yard, once shunting was completed the the loco would draw the outward load of wagons onto the left hand line the outover line then run round them and then push the wagons after getting the signal from Bowesfield into the shunt neck and then return back to Tees Yard.
Correction to above! The loco would draw the returning traffic onto the right hand line, the outover to run round and return to Tees Yard.

I’m not sure where this is?
