I wonder what was the protocol regarding hats in those days?
All of the balcony party are hatless, and here and there you can spot men in the crowd who are in the process of removing their hats. Maybe the bugler on the balcony had started to play the national anthem? Any other suggestions?
Crikey it’s a wonder the balcony didn’t collapse with that lot on it!!
