Does anyone know when the Quayside Mission ceased to operate as a refuge for unfortunate men?
I remember Quayside mission about this time,it was a meeting place and everyone was welcome.The Pastor was Mr Thomson along with his wife and a young woman whose name escapes me she lived in Newtown
My grandma Sarah Jane (Sally) Catterick used to work at the Quayside mission alongside Pastor Thompson. They used to have family nativities at Christmas and trips out too. It was more than just a support for men down on their luck.
