Arnold Brownlee was the radio and TV technician at Uptons in Yarm Road. His son David also worked along side him there.
I was born two weeks before the Coronation and my grandma (Mrs Elsie Whitfield) was the second person in Stockton to have a television. Loads of people popped into her house that day to watch the Coronation and took it in turns to sit down with me on their knees.
