The Synners met Tow Law in the final and drew 1 – 1. The replayed final was held over to the August with the Synners winning 1 – 0. The goal was scored by Wally Buffham..
Keen Northern League fans will recognise long serving Synners players such as Harry Armstrong, Harold Chesser, Irving Johnstone and Wally Buffham.
This programme relates to a friendly played against a ”Selected RAF” team. The game was the first match in the north of England to be played under floodlights and this is reflected in the one off ”searchlight” design on the front of the programme. The game was a friendly as shown in the scoreline as the Synners triumphed 8 – 4 in front of a 3000 crowd.
