  1. Ron Haslock, Just checking Ron to see if you also were an ex schoolmate of mine at Holy Trinity in the 1938/39 in Tommy Sowler’s class 4B? I had to leave in 1939 when my Father was mobilised again for his second world war. Everybody thought that the Germans would blitz ICI Billingham and it was silly for my Mother and I to stay on in Norton when we could evacuate to Weardale where my Father’s family left in 1920 to find work for their seven children. I am pleased to say, despite an unhappy time at Trinity, I managed to complete an apprenticeship in mechanical dentistry with C.V. Armitage at Norton and went on to become a Senior Instructor in Prosthetic Dentistry at Leeds Dental School and Hospital. Please reply to me to let me know if my memory is correct.
