Looking at all these ex pupils from RSM really shows the best time of your life was at that school. I am Frank Corking and my older brother Barrie went there too. I played school football all the time I was there and still remember the lads who played. Don’t know how many are still alive and kicking but poor Mussy isn’t. I like to know how many ex pupils remember me. cheers
I attended RSM school 1971-1972 my brother Steve Rollinson attended too, he was best mates with Phil Noble. I left in March 1972 and moved to Durham. I was best friends with Alison Lambert. Lived in Runfold Close just opposite the school, such good times.
Hi, I was at RSM 1962 to 1966. I lived at 136 Rosslare Road and had 3 sisters, my mum was Italian. I was called Palmer then. I remember teachers Mr. Danby, Mrs Pipe, Mr Preston, Mr Bell (and his canes), Mrs Farnaby, Ma West, Ken Tiffin (and his sandshoe), a female art teacher who painted nudes and threw blackboard rubbers at us, Mr Laycock was the Head. I was friends with Evlyn Lee, (now in Australia), Eileen Hall, Pat Cutler, Yvonne Nugent among others. I was in the same year as Val Smith (played hockey for Norton ladies and the county I think), Mavis Harrison, Susan Davies (went on to marry Steve McGann), Keith Brown and Brian Godson (who I think moved to Australia, I have a vague recollection of writing to him for a while after). The notorious Tye twins were a year or two above me. I don’t, but feel I should, remember more names unfortunately. I recall the ice cream van that parked up outside the school and beer lollies (yum) an ex male teacher who used to tell us ghost stories worked on the van for a while. Happy days as I recall.
The Female Art Teacher was Miss Swindon, Yvonne Nugent is married to Bobbie Ball of Cannon and Ball fame. Val Smith lived 2 doors up from us in Radnor Close, I have not seen her for many a year.
hi all you people who went to rsm well im alan fairman I used to live in 4 raglan close used to be best friends with vince lofthouse and still are but don’t see him as much as I would like and by the way we did not throw dog of 21 arches lol dog lived until it was 16 and sadly missed
Hello Eddie,
We were in Roseworth Junior football team together. Every time I look at the team photo I see your beaming smiley face.
Hope you’re well. After many journeys,
I’m back in Ringwood where I grew up.
I was back in the area visiting family and was shocked to see the old place half demolished, the end of an era, all those memories turned to dust.
I would like to here from all those who remember me. Regards, Geoff Easby.
In response to Roy Parkins post, I too remember the girls having those baskets with the elasticated tops. We boys used to have haversacks with the top flap painted [lots of paint till it was stiff ] usually with your favourite football team or pop group as I remember some of them were art personified. Inside you would find PE shorts and smelly plimsoles…
Dianne Longley and Peter who lived in Rishton, I know you well. I lived in the posh end of Raunds Avenue at No 44, your Mam and Dad used to go up to the Horse and Jockey where I started drinking at 18? I left in July 67 and just turned the grand old age of 60, currently living at Eaglescliffe and love reading all the comments, how time goes so fast.
I have sent a email to North Shore Academy ( RSM ) asking for a final visit before it gets knocked down as they are moving to a new building in Tilery , Spring 2013 and no doubt a new housing estate will be appearing.
The vice principal has contacted me and there a plans in March for a opportunity for visits so watch this space. It would be nice to revist the school albeit I pass it couple of times a week , I have never been back since I left. It would be good to meet up with old faces and get a few shocks!
Hi, I attended this school in the early 1960’s until I passed the 13+, I was then Diane Longley. Reading all the comments has brought back many happy memories. I now live in Leeds and my brother Peter lives in Germany with his wife and family. If anyone remembers me I can be reached on facebook under Diane Morrisroe.
Hi David, its your old work mate Decca Casey, sorry lost your e-mail, I also can’t connect onto site you keep inviting me to, please ask picture stockton for my e-mail address, all the best Derek
Dave Maclean, Love this site and all the old names so I obviously do not know as they were at RSM long after I left I was there until 1966, Mates with Derek Spacy Alan Brown Dave Mulhearn, Brian Godson, Brian Dobson, David Hill, Al Laverick, Steve Mcgann, Dave Jones. I lived in the corner house 52 Rostrevor ave. My dad’s sidecar could take 6 kids and one on the back of the bike. Our house was always full of motor bike parts, frogs toads and newts and Beach Boys music… Happy days, in fact things have not changed that much..
I went to this school too and Edith Stansmore was in same class. I remember before the scool was built I would go sledging with my brother George and his mates who were Maurice Brown, Michael Waring, Michael Bear, most of us were in Mrs Pipe’s class and our final year with Mr Dedman and the last year with him were the best times I will remember
Hello Robert, My sister Susan Storey used to knock around with Marilyn Flounder back in the 60’s. I do believe she had a sister called June. They lived in the close next to us, we lived in Rockall Avenue. My sister is now quite ill, but I will tell her that I have been talking to you.
Hello Eddie
Well we were in Roseworth Junior. I still have the School Football photo, with you in goal :))
Understand you’re in Oz now, from a previous post on this site. Hope all is well. I’ve gone full circle and landed back exactly where I grew up, although I spend time in France.
All the best. Brian Griffiths.
We all thought the big building was going to be a swimming pool. Big disappointment to find it wasn’t. To the residents of Roseworth it was a skyscraper – a whole three storeys.
Later got to attend the school and remember many of the teachers: some for their positive contribution to my education and others for their sadism. Loved Mr ‘Twink’ Moore whose weapon of choice was a sandshoe – rarely used. Mr. Bell preferred a bamboo cane that saw plenty of action. Had the french teacher launch a blackboard eraser at my head once – pretty good shot. Mr. Campbell used sarcasm! I live in the States now and kids here have to get on a school bus to go one block. No one walks to school. We were lucky to have a new school just up the road – and we talked to each other. No texting. Those were the days.
Hello Geoff, You don’t actually know me but you say that you remember Dave Storey from Roseworth School, he is my brother. Lived in Rockall Ave until he moved to Suffolk many years ago, he has not been well for some time had a nasty operation for mouth cancer, but now seems to be doing very well. He is not on the computer but will let him know that I have written to you.
Hi Ann, very sorry to hear about Dave, we were best mates before he left for Ipswich (I’m sure thats where Dave said he was going). Pass on my best wishes to Dave and as I live in South Lincolnshire (and the Boro will be playing there) if Dave’s up for it we could meet up and talk about the old days.
I remember Yvonne Nugent she lived in the same street as me, Radstock Avenue. I was in contact with Pat Allen (Terry’s wife) when he was suffering from cancer, she kept me up to date with his progress up until he sadly died. I also remember Norma Spence we both share the same birthday, and hung about together with Pat Walker ( my first love and will never forget ) Dave Storey, Jane Duncan and Alan Powell, to name but a few. It would be nice to here from old friends.
regards all Geoff.
Hi Geoff,
I went to school with you. I was Pamela Dack then, I now live round the corner from Pat Walker. She is still friends with Pauline Enright and Norma Spence, we were all at school together. Also Diane Little lives in the same road as me, she was from Fairfield and came to school with Margo and Lesley Hauxwell and another girl called Lynn.
Hi Pamela.
Nice to hear from you,it’s been a while since I’ve been on here, hope life is treating you well, when you see Pat, Norma and Pauline give them my regards, I now live in Hull been here 23 years, retiring next year, still pop up to see my mum who now lives in Yarm.
I was Lorraine Thynne (maiden name), middle name Elizabeth which I now use. I went to Roseworth sec mod 1966-1971, in Mr.Prestons class, he was our form teacher. Mr.Danby – geography, Mrs.West – french, english and choir, Mr.Buckle – woodwork, Mr.Bell – english, Miss.Farnaby – cookery, Mr.Burrows – biology, Mr.Bird – science, Mr.Craggs – rural science. In my class – Margaret Keogh, Norma Spence, Averil Williamson (who sadly died so young), Linda Robson, many others, 5G, 5C Terry Allen (now sadly died), Geoff Saysell, Andy Austin, lots of the names on the site too, and Val Poole, my best mate – we caused havoc! Anyone remember Yvonne Nugent, tall and thin, now married to Bobby Ball. Also Richard Griffiths, who had deaf parents, he came to our school fo a while and is now in the Harry Potter films!
Hello Elizabeth, I was in your class, I was Pamela Dack then, I used to hang arround with Elizabeth Carling, Margaret Donne and Lynn Simpson. I live near Pat Walker who is still friends with Norma Spence and Pauline Enright.
At last I’ve found some of the old mates from RSM. Diane Fulton, Pam Covell & Susan Rickaby.
I would be good to here from a few more and have a reunion. Before we draw our pension would be nice!!
I would love to hear from fellow pupils who attended RSM, I think I was there from 1959-1963, I remember Mr Bell, Miss Farnaby, Mr Laycock, Mrs West, Mr Bird, Mr Smails, Mr Tiffin, Mr Buckly Mr Danby, Miss Redhead, Miss Askey, I couldnt wait to leave school and was told by the teachers that one day I would look back and remember school as being the best days of ones life and I now know what they meant and its so true, I lived at Riegate Close, I used to always hang around with the Tye twins from Ryde Road, I was pally with a girl called Christine Woods and Denise Gill,in my school form I can recall a Malcom Moody and Sheila Watson, its so long a go I can see faces but I’m forgetting names, I had a older brother called |David Allan attending RSM as well.
Bob Davies – happy days in Roseworth, it was a great place to grow up. Remember the party at your and Edith’s house in Tilery? Christine and I arrived to find your rendition of modern art – ketchup splashed across the floor, up the wall and across the ceiling. You said ‘grab a drink, they are in the twin tub’. Christine and I are still together, 44 years in September of this year. When we grew up we had more great times in the Metropole and the Vic. Do you remember the camping trip to Whitby one Easter with Tony Smith and the gang?
I LIVED IN RIEVAULX CLOSE FROM 1953 TO 1965, AND WENT TO RSM. MR SMAILES WAS MY HOME ROOM TEACHER FOR 1ST AND FOURTH YEAR. MRS WEST TOOK US FOR P.E – SCARED ME TO DEATH ,WE CALLED HER SOMETHING NOT TOO NICE! AS FOR MR BELL AND HIS WONDERFULL CANES, WE HAD HIM FOR MATH. HE HAD AN ONGOING FRIENDSHIP WITH MRS FARNABY THE DOMESTIC SCIENCE TEACHER. WE ALSO HAD A NICE NAME FOR HER – BET NOBODY CAN GUESS WHAT IT WAS?? JEAN FISH, NANCY CHAFFER, SOME MORE NAMES FROM THE SIXTIES. I REMEMBER THE FRENCH TEACHER AND THE BOYS GOING DAFFY OVER HER. ALSO REMEMBER THE TYE TWINS IN OUR MATH CLASS DONALD & DAVID, MR BELL PICKED ON THEM ALL THE TIME. ANYONE REMEMBER MR BELLS APPLE TREE AND HOW IT ENDED UP CUT DOWN? NEVER FOUND OUT WHO DID THAT ONE. AHHH THE MEMORIES… I ALSO LEFT ENGLAND AND LIVE IN ONTARIO CANADA. DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER THE GREAT CHRISTMAS PLAY WE PUT ON WITH THE ARABIAN DANCING GIRLS? I REMEMBER MAKING THOSE COSTUMES WITH 2 OTHER GIRLS, SUCH FUN.
Alan Waite – I lived in 11 Raglan Close from 1953, when I was 6 years old, until I got married. Michael Tomlinson lived across the street from my house and next door to my good mate Kenny Martin. Ken and I knocked around together for many years until I left the UK for the USA and ultimately Canada, where I have lived for 30 years. I passed the 11 plus at Newtown Junior school and spent my secondary years at Stockton Grammar. I was always envious of the folks who were at RSM because I got so much homework compared to you guys. Somehow though I always found time to have a game of footy or marbles under the light at the end of the road, or catching minnows in a jam jar from The wash, or frogging in Ozzy Wood pond. Ken, Dave Moody and me had a great childhood in Roseworth and spent many an adventurous day in Ozzy Wood, over The Wash or even farther afield in Bluebell wood. I was back in Stockton a couple of years ago and Ken and I did some long walks through our old stomping grounds. We even had a legal pint after a walk to Thorpe Thewles. If there are any out there who remember myself and my family, I will be delighted if they will add to this thread. I am Ed(Eddy back in the day)the eldest of four, Eve (Evelyn)is the next eldest, Maureen and then Bryan, the youngest. Eve lives in Canada, Maureen and Bryan live in Australia.
Stay active and live young. Happy days.
I used to live in 13 Raglan Close and went to school with your sister Maureen. I would like to get in touch with her. I was Christine Hoffman now Christine Brown
It was 1968/69 when we broke open the lid on Blob Fordys piano,( which took pride of place on the stage) filled it up with plastic cups from the vending machine and placed an elastic tensioner off the trampoline over the wires inside, what a racket it made when he tried to play ‘All creatures great and small’. I remember him opening the lid and bringing the cups out one by one, and all Mr Laycock could do was complain about our singing, that wasn’t singing, that was us peeing ourselves. Wish I was back there now, 40 years on.
Hi Geoff, do you also remember the ocassion when we prefects (about 20 of us) all sat in the stage as was the practice during assembly and one by one we crossed our legs? I remember it got a good laugh from the other pupils sitting in the hall but the teachers hadn’t a clue what was going on. There was also the occassion when we cut up a load of table tennis balls in Sam Bird’s science lab and set fire to them, everybody was evacuated into the playground and we had to wait for the Fire Brigade. Happy Days! Now I/we are all getting on in years, happy memories. I used to live across the road from you in Radstock Avenue next to the cut in the houses leading to the waste land and railway lines, I also remember trying to improve my footballing skills by practicing with your brother (Robert, if I remember correctly) in the road outside our houses.
I remember that happening like it was yesterday. I seem to remember drawingpins in the piano stool as well. I started there in 1969 so would have been in the first year I also wish I was back there now.
Hi Geoff, Do you remember PAT JONES of Rhondda Ave, I remember you living in Radstock Ave and I lived near the beck at the bottom of Ryde Rd, our form teacher was Mr Tiffin, my married name is Lowe now, ask pictures@stockton.gov.uk for my email address if you want to get in touch, hoping life treating you well
A few more names to add to the ones from Dave Honeyman from my school years at RSM… Richard Bateman, Paul French, Chris Bell, David Stoddard, Joe Hall, Charlie Hawkes, David Douglas, Mickey Stott, Elaine & Lesley Grubb (brother & sister), Colin Laver, Jeffrey Stevenson, Norma French and the German sounding girl was Ingrid Kiaser. Also remember Elaine & Marilyn (the Bates Twins). Took some Heinz beans for them when I went to Benidorm Spain in 1975 with Big Henry Hanson who lived next door to them. I first met Dave Honeyman in 1963 at Roseworth Primary School, he was one of the first to make me feel welcome at my new school (having just left Tilery Road School the Friday before) he and his mate David Hall who had the nicknames of Tab & Tabby – ?? – only the two of them will know the origin of those nicknames…
A few more names to add to list, Jack Hurst, Linda Whitaker, June Little, Lyn Hargreaves, Barbara Parvin, Mr Lindly took woodwork, who can ever forget the smell of that glue pot and the carving of friut bowls, Mr Buckle did metal work there was a forge in the room and we all made those combination poker and shovel sets for your mams fire place which we bought even though we had converted to gas fires. Miss Watson took girls PE, she married Mr (Ken) Tiffen boys PE teacher.
Mr. Craggs took RS Rural Studies (gardening). Cannot remember the teacher who took us for Technical drawing. I do remember Mr Bell (English) always walking down Blakeston Lane during dinner break with the teacher who did Girls DS (Domestic Science) ‘wink wink nudge nudge’, (Blob) Fords cane collection, especially the one he called Clarance. I also remember Dave Honeyman breaking Mr Danbys cane in half, talk of the school for days until (Jock) Cambell slammed the classroom door on Micheal Tomlinson’s little finger taking the tip off. Football with Mr (Sam) Bird, reminded me of the scene in the film KES, he just barged everyone out of his way when he had the ball, which was a big leather casey, you would head that ball and and the laces would leave an imprint in your forehead for a week. Has anybody got a class photo out there, I have one from Roseworth Primary School Circ 1963 and a lot of the pupils moved from there to RSM. I do remember Fred Hurley, I think he hung around with my brother Geoff Waite. Would be great if people got in touch, I got this site via Facebook.
I was best mates with your brother (and Dave Storey who moved away I think to Ipswich), we played togeather in the intermediate and senior football teams he was left back and I was right back we always had a competition to see who could do the best sliding tackle and get the dirtiest, those were the days. The better players in our team were Kivin Whitehouse and Malcolm Tupling (he was also a very good Table Tennis player and we both played for Ormseby). We the Kidd family moved south in 1972, I now live in a little place called Sleaford in Lincolshire but its fantastic to read about the long and distant past. Before we moved away we (and my sister Barbara who went to Raggy Hind) lived at 63 Ragpath Lane, 30 Radstock Avenue and 63 Rudyard Avenue if anyone remembers me please get in touch.
I went to this school in the sixties, played basketball for the team! Malcolm Danby got an MBE?? Always liked him and his history lessons and I remember one day he bravely tackled a school fire. Alan Prosser did you have a sister called Shirley??
Hi Chris, are you the Chris Kirtley, that lived in Rottingdean Close? I used to live in number 14 before leaving for Australia in 1963! The Browns lived in 15, the Nicholsons lived in 13, the Elliotts lived in number 8, and I think that you may have lived in number 21!
If you would like to make contact, you can request my e-mail address fron the Stockton library.. pictures@stockton.gov.uk
This certainly brings back a lot of memories for me. Nostalgia. My parents moved into their newly built house in Rothwell Crescent about 1955. My mother lived there until a few years back, so Roseworth was still familiar to me, although it does seem smaller than it used to be. I left Blakeston (The Sec) in 1974, doesn’t seem that far away really. I remember David Allen, excellent artist, as was Rob Fawcett; Keith Mitchell, who I still have a few pints with when he’s home; Pamela Covell I used to bump into from time to time, but haven’t done so for ages; Karen Fishburn, Karen Fellows, Shaun Chilton, David McLone, Gary Booth, Elizabeth Poole, Stephen Jobson, Terry Hobbs, George Cowie, David Laing, David Dryden, Marion Rolls, Yvonne Rayner, Malcolm Flounders(RIP), Neville Flounders, Pamela Graham, Ste Leighton, Alan Rhodes, Lesley Ord, Shirley Ridley, John Lee, Sandra Perks, John Hall, Susan Cuthbert, Michael Wilde, Barbara Millward, Peter Seddon, Jeff Clapp, Jeff Slack, Susan Rickaby, Catherine Stoddart, Michael Brenan, Marie Chapman, Colin Irwin, Dorothy Easby, John Thompson, Tony Goodenough, Beverley Oxley, George Cowie, Robert Ness, Maureen Leonard, David Armstrong, Christine Davis, Norah Davies, Lynn Patterson, Lynne Pritchard, Graham Mann, Robert Lee, Carol Wilshaw, Brian Gough . . . and that’s just off the top of my head!
All these people I have known, yet would probably pass in the street not recognising them. Or them me, I suppose? Miss Saunders, who taught French used to teach my children at Hartburn school, I think she’s still there. I think maybe having to put up with us renegades persuaded her that teaching infants and juniors was a better option.
David Mitchell (Mitch – Me), Brian Marlow, Ronald Grey, Malcom Olephant, Peter French, John Sudlow, Joyce Heald, Jean Armstrong, Doreen Moore, Arthur Moore (No Relation), Colin Vecock, Richard Finch, Mille Hurley, Rita Proctor, Carol Parkin, David Shepheard, Keith Clements……….
More names I can remember….
David Boddy, Sheila + Linda Hay, The Tye Twins (David + Donald), Carol + Stephen Mann, Kenny King, Paul Pollard, John Stott, Tony Felstead, Robin (Knocker)Greathead, Carol Hall, Ann Notman, Mick Johnson, Brian Harston, Ricky + Steven Linguard, Paul Walton, Barry + Graham Wilshire, Ray + Desmond Buttle, Lol Middleton, Carol Black, Elizabeth Ness, Jennifer Opie, David Dewhirst, Henry Hanson, Gary Malcom, Barry Malcom (No Relation).
As we are all getting older some of the names are no longer with us.
Names of 2 more teachers
(The Farmer) Mr Degman
(Teddy boy/Ice Cream Man) Col Wilson
I was at Roseworth Secondary School 65 to 69 with my two brothers John and Steven. Our John knocked about with Dave Kirton my other bro knocked about with Bri Baugh, his younger brother owns the garage opposite the docs at Queens park. I was in the the ‘Mad doctors’ form (Mr Danby).
I can still see him now with both hands on his hips barking out orders and pulling the girls bra straps as he walked passed them. Form buddies Ian Mcquillion, Dave Hall, Morgan Peacock, Leonard Cox, Micheal Tomplinson, Keith ?, Sandra Ducklin, Cynthia Payne, a girl with german name. I was not the best behaved pupil or, as the Mad Doc used to say “Honeyman you are public enemy number two” – Ian Mcquillion was number one, I was so jealous. I think he had a grudge against me because I snapped his stick in two when I had had enough of being caned.I had Ma West for French, frightened the day lights out of me. Funny I work in a school now and the teachers are frightened of the kids.
Happy days
Just to say that I remember you Karen Fishburn – it would be great to sort some reunion out. Like yourself I’m really sad to hear Mrs West passed away. Oh and for the person that mentioned Rob Fawcett, he is my cousin he is currently living in London.
Hi Pam,
Just scrolling through all of these comments. Probably won’t remember me but I used to knock around with you, Yvonne Rayner and Marion Rolls.
Kathryn Lonsdale that was.
So interesting to ‘hear’ from past school friends.
Not sure of the year,(1963?)Transferred from Frederick Nattress school as soon as RSM was built. The school was brand new. I lived on Rotherham ave. Some names that I remember from my Class year (Chesterton Prefect) Dave Wikinson (goalie)Colin Harrison,Malcolm Anderson,Dereck Chapman Teachers ken Tiffin , Miss Askey Miss Swainston? Mr Laycock, remember Christine Legget,Brenda Atkinson.
I apprenticed at Whessoe and ICI then left for USA 1975 been there since. age 62.
David, I started Harrowgate school on the day it opened september 1963 aged five and your dad was my headmaster until I left the school in 1969. He was a really nice fella and I’ve never heard anyone say a bad word about him. I bumped into him and Derek Graham (who taught me at Harrowgate) at a town sports day at the old William Newton site in the early 90’s when my eldest son Joel was taking part. I introduced myself and was over the moon when they both remembered me after 20 odd years. Derek (who I’m still in touch with) emailed me to let me know of your dads passing and I passed the word around to old school mates who I still see and everyone was so saddened to hear of the news as he was so well respected. There are a number of photographs on the site (Harrowgate and Newtown) featuring your dad.
Blimey!! I was just looking on the site for photos of my dad who passed away last year (Headmaster at Harrowgate primary) and stumbled on this page. Can’t remember my exact dates but I remember some of the names on this page: Karen Fishburn, Susan Rickaby, Jacqueline Hindmarsh, Hazel Ord, Neville and Noel Flounders and their sisters, Malcolm Flounders that used to terrorize me at infants school! Robert Fawcett who came from getting chucked out of Grangy Grammer. I think Mr York was my form teacher. Other people in my form were; Angela Chapman, Marian Rolls, Keith Mitchel, Gary Booth, Lorraine Pritchard (?) and lots of others I can’t bring to mind. I remember David McClone always being in trouble for one thing or another. Think he was supposed to have driven a dumper truck through the partly built new gym wall in the transition from Roseworth Sec to Blakey Comp!!
I was sorry to hear that Mrs West had died. A great teacher. We could do with some more like her today. She played hockey for the England’s ladies team years ago. Also took us to Wembley to watch them play. Had a great time, she was really good fun that day. God bless good old Mrs West.
Still trying to find names from the past. About 1974/5. Alan Chapman , Alison Dinsdale, Karen Fellows. It’s about time we all got together!!
Karen, You will remember that I lived in the house next to you in Ragpath Lane. Both our families ere friends with each other and I was a friend of Christine.
I went to RSM between 1965 and 1969, Miss Swindon (Nelly) was my form teacher.
Looking at all these ex pupils from RSM really shows the best time of your life was at that school. I am Frank Corking and my older brother Barrie went there too. Tom Pagett and Goalkeeper Jimmy Lewis have both passed away. Tom is on the top row 3rd in from the right. Jimmy is between Tom and Mr Bird.
Does anyone remember the Cairns family from Roseworth, Greg, Nigel and Alison, will be in their 50’s now?
I attended RSM school 1971-1972 my brother Steve Rollinson attended too, he was best mates with Phil Noble. I left in March 1972 and moved to Durham. I was best friends with Alison Lambert. Lived in Runfold Close just opposite the school, such good times.

I was friends with Evlyn Lee, (now in Australia), Eileen Hall, Pat Cutler, Yvonne Nugent among others. Which school do the kids from Roseworth go to now?
Hello Eddie,
We were in Roseworth Junior football team together. Every time I look at the team photo I see your beaming smiley face.
Hope you’re well. After many journeys,
I’m back in Ringwood where I grew up.
Brian Griffiths
I don’t know if you will receive this but I remember being friends at school a very long time ago. My name is John Parvin and lived in Buttermere Rd.
Hi John, of course I remember you, and Ray and Arthur. Hope you’re doing well.
Brian.
I was back in the area visiting family and was shocked to see the old place half demolished, the end of an era, all those memories turned to dust.
I would like to here from all those who remember me. Regards, Geoff Easby.
Hi Geoff, I remember you and think we may even be half cousins…
Hi John, I vaguely remember you, been a long time, not sure about the half cousin bit , could you give me more info to maybe verify.
Regards
Geoff
In response to Roy Parkins post, I too remember the girls having those baskets with the elasticated tops. I lived in the corner house 52 Rostrevor ave. My dad’s sidecar could take 6 kids and one on the back of the bike. Hello l was in your class also lived in Rostrevor ave

Hello Robert, My sister Susan Storey used to knock around with Marilyn Flounder back in the 60’s. I do believe she had a sister called June. They lived in the close next to us, we lived in Rockall Avenue. My sister is now quite ill, but I will tell her that I have been talking to you.
Does anyone remember Marilyn Flounders that used to go there in the 1960s.? also Robert Butler.?
Yeah she’s my sister
Reading Craig Tuckers list of ex pupils, I noticed he remembered Mick Wild. I married Mick’s brother Ernie and sadly Mick passed away on 15.10.2010
It is interesting to note how many past pupils of Roseworth Secondary Modern School who have contributed to this site now live outside the UK.
Talk to Pam Covell still and I remember Susan Rickaby
HI LINDA…GREAT MEMORIES…JEAN FISH
Sorry I didn’t finish …. I was Smith before I was married and remember Jean if you are the same lady?
Hi Malcolm, I remember it all as it was yesterday, can’t believe its 40 years since you left Stockton. Hope you are well and wish all the best. Geoff
I remember that happening like it was yesterday. I seem to remember drawingpins in the piano stool as well. I started there in 1969 so would have been in the first year I also wish I was back there now.
I remember that, was so funny. Those were the days Lawrence. It would be great if we’ll had a reunion.
Alan, I don’t know if you heard, but Joe Hall died a couple of years ago.
Left School in 1964 – anybody remember me?
Hi,I was hoping to contact Chris myself…we were at Billingham College together in the early 70s…did you ever make contact with him? cheers.Tim.
Miss Swindon (Nellie) Class
Happy days
Mr Dandy is still with us but sadly suffers Parkinson’s
His name is Malcolm Danby.
I’m sorry to say Malcolm Danby died in August 2018.
Hi this is David Honeyman from 26 Rothbury Avenue my dad was Peter Honeyman is your dad Norman?
Just to say that I remember you Karen Fishburn – it would be great to sort some reunion out. Like yourself I’m really sad to hear Mrs West passed away. Oh and for the person that mentioned Rob Fawcett, he is my cousin he is currently living in London.
Hi Pam,
Just scrolling through all of these comments. Probably won’t remember me but I used to knock around with you, Yvonne Rayner and Marion Rolls.

So interesting to ‘hear’ from past school friends.
