My Great Uncle Stirley Rutter was a sides man and bell ringer in the church in 1938 also my grandad William Selby Ascough was a solo singer in the choir in 1940. My mother Eileen Lucy Ascough was also a bell ring and in the choir up until she married in the church in 1950.
The War Memorial was unveiled in 1923 The trams ended in 1931/32 so I would put a date on this picture between 1923 and 1932 – but I”m unable to get it any closer – any help?
