A class photograph of Form 5 alpha from Grangefield Grammar School taken in either 1956 or 57. I am sitting on the right of Mr Stockill our Form tutor and maths teacher.

Nice to find that some of us are still around, Sorry Brian for wrong name but 1957 was a long time ago although sometimes it still feels like yesterday. I now live in Buckinghamshire and it would be good if more of the people pictured find themselves. I love the website and have had lots of memories stirred by trawling through it. Brian Leak is a regular contributor he was in 5R at the same time as us.
This is real history, yes third from the left is Brian Leonard, l moved back to this area a few years ago, and now have a house in Heighington.l hope other class members find this site and respond, thanks Arthur Long. Brian Leonard.
The late Tot Hughes was a Tilery lad who played local senior football. Peter Temple was the son of Ernie who was the Mayor of Stockton and was the landlord in the Gas Hotel and the Lord Nelson.
Great to finally see my addition to the site, names as follows…
Front row left to right : Petrie, ?, Tot Hughes, Artie Long, Col Fewster, Mr Stockill ,myself, Keith Walker, Pete Merrington, DiDi Pearson, Barry Drury.
Back Row : Geoff Wilkinson, Andrews, Andrews, Tony Walton, Alan Wilson, Barry Shepherd,Alan Swainson, Pete Temple. Happy days at Grangefield before we all went our separate ways bumping into each other sometimes at Stockton Billingham Tech..
This photo certainly brings back happy memories. I remember everyone. Back row third from left is definitely Brian Leonard, a good friend with whom I am still in contact. Front row second left I think is ? Martin, who lived at Neasham. Sorry to hear Tot Hughes is no longer with us. Artie Long.
