I’ve never been to the Leeds Hotel, but remember when the John St. Market building was John Street Pool Hall (late 80’s?). Which had a small amusements at the front and quite a few pool tables at the back, I would guess there was at least a dozen of them.
Remember it well as the pool club, a booth in the middle as you walked in for change and stuff, turn left for the fruit machines, turn right for the arcade machines, pool tables at the back.
That looks like my mother-in-law & father-in-law crossing the road

I used to play pool there in the early 80s, still remember most of the music played at the time too

I remember going in the John St pool hall back in the 80’s before it closed & then pulled down to make way for Wellington Square.
Think the building is now maybe part of the road which leads to the back of the old Debenhams??
