Coronation Mug

This mug was given to Alan Rowbotham at the time of the Coronation in 1953 while a pupil at Ragworth Primary School. We believe all children in Stockton Schools received one, along with a purple propelling pencil.

This photograph is a shot of Stockton Station on Sunday 25th January 1962 with a clear view of the magnificent roof before it was found to be unsafe in the 1970’s and taken down.
