Built by Craig, Taylor and Co., for DH. Morgan and Co., Newport – SS Rosecliffe was launched in July 1888 and later renamed Oevenum by JH. Andresen. SS Oevenum was wrecked on Laura Rocks, 10 miles north of Oporto in June 1900 on route from New York.

This bridge is near the Danby Centre not too far from Whitby there is also a similar bridge in Castleton, perhaps there are others on the line too and all a testament to Teesside steel!
