A view of the Union Arms, High Street, Yarm. Just visible above the modern sign, carved into the keystone of the coach-arch which once led to stabling at the rear, is the date 1762. The general facade to this building can also be seen to have an unusual decorative brick-pattern, by combining both red and beige stocks.

Two views of the Wimpole at 102 High Street, Stockton. Our records show that this building was once called the Shoulder of Mutton c1794 before becoming the Royal Exchange c1879. It was known as the Wimpole from 1961 until the early 1980s.
Unfortunately we don’t know who these people are, though we believe them to be members of the Thornaby Bowling Club c1935.

This photograph was taken along the north side of Billingham Green, since replaced by some modern houses. You can just about make out the sundial on the centre house and this was supposed to be the oldest house in Billingham, apart from the farmhouses.
