Market Day on Stockton High Street. The view includes Callers-Pegasus (1971-2006) and The Golden Egg Restaurant (1974-1977) which we believe never reopened after a fire. A sign for ‘Books’ the ladies fashion shop (1936-1983) can also be seen.

The postcard reads, ‘…You will be overjoyed to receive this from me no doubt. I thought it woud be a little surprise. You will see by this it is quite a busy place, not at all like aristocratic Har..’
