Ernest Luff, a well known National Christian Evangelist conducted a crusade in Stockton centered in the Hebron Hall Brethren Chapel. My mother aged 18 was baptised by immersion by Ernest Luff there in 1923. This is the front of the Hymn Book used for the services.

A view of St. Peters Church on West Hartlepool Road in Wolviston. The church was built in 1876 to replace an earlier building.

This photograph of Norton United Reform Church was taken by one of the 4th Norton Scouts (of which I was a member) who were based in the church hall at the time, I reckon the photograph was taken c1986. The building was demolished in 2007.

This old Church on Thornaby Village Green dates from the 12th century. I attended a service there this month, it was my first view of the inside – beautiful. I remember when the church area was surrounded by a high hedge and gravestones.

There was a beautiful church in Peel Street and remember playing on the (Peel Street Rec.) Victoria Recreation Ground in 1945, aged 7. They knocked the church down and replaced it with this building.
